AMREEN & FAISAL WEDDING- PART 1 (MEHNDI)

Amreen and Faisal’s wedding kicked off on 12th of May with the first event-  Mehendi  at Holiday Inn Dubai.

It was a purely ladies evening and men were strictly not allowed. Of course that did not stop Amreen’s slightly older brother (who by the way dotes on Amreen like a father more than a brother) to have a quick peep once in a while to check if his sister was fine. The ladies just let their hair down and danced the night away. Entertainment brings an event to life and the atmosphere created by music is an integral part of the celebration which Dubai based singer Shobana effortlessly handled. She kept the ladies totally engrossed in innovative rounds of games from quizzing them about their sister in laws and mother in laws to identifying Ram Kapoor’s dialogue from popular TV soap Bade Ache Lagte Hai  and Yash from Punar Vivaah followed by medley of popular Bollywood songs. It was fun too watch how Television soaps have actually become a part of our daily life and how all the ladies were totally up to date with the latest happenings on the small screen.

The bride walked in with her family, looking breathtaking in a stunning coral and antique gold Anarkali, a vision of pure simple elegance.

Amber pin spots and votive candles illuminated the tables and florals. The tissue table overlays with delicate gold khadi work completed the look. Oversized urns filled with roses flanked the Mehendi gazebo with strings of marigold tied to gold kaliras, complimenting the gazebo with Indian color and tradition.

The highlight of the Wedding evening (Mehndi) was a special song dedicated by Amreen for her mother (it was Mothers day) It was an emotional moment of pure happiness for them.
