Kunal and Rashmi wedding might have been the most popular in our magazine. This Thailand Wedding – caught magically by Andrew Adams of Katha Images – had so many different venues, outfits and interesting features (masquerade ball and a cake meant for a sword!). Take a look at the pictures below and be sure to get the magazine for more pictures and information about this and other beautiful weddings.

How many guests did you have at your wedding? 250 guests

What was your wedding budget? Did you stay on budget? USD 300,000 – Budget was decided as we started planning the wedding, and for the most of it we stayed on budget.

What made you choose your ceremony and/or reception venue(s)? Did anything stand out about it/them? We saw a lot of hotels in Thailand & Malaysia. Either we didn`t like the feel of the hotel or the ballroom was too small or the management couldn`t accomodate our requests. We were a 100 percent sure we wanted a beach destination and were not willing to compromise on that. The Sheraton Hua Hin just stood out among all of them. It had the perfect ballroom size, the staff was great, the lagoon rooms were a plus point and we fell in love with their nightclub (@BLACK) the minute we saw it!

How did you decide on your color scheme for the reception? Was there an inspiration? I always wanted one of the functions to be all white, and wanted the reception to look very elegant but still glamorous. Since it was victorian theme, we decided to stick to white with pastel pinks for the reception.

Did you have a favorite element of your wedding? The youngsters party, i.e. The Masquerade Ball.

Was there something about your wedding that made it stand out in the mind of your guests?  It was an elegant wedding with just the right number of guests so we could mingle and meet everyone. If we had more guests I am sure everyone would end up getting `lost`.

What would be the one piece of advice you would give to couples planning their wedding? The minute your first guests arrive, just let go of all the planning and the small details and enjoy your wedding! Those few days are never going to come back and everything will just fall in place.

The one thing that you think `makes` a great wedding (i.e. a great DJ, the venue, etc.)? Hospitality

What was the one thing that you were willing to splurge on? Our photographer (Andrew Adams of Katha Images) and the videography team (Doodle Studio)…we wanted good memories and have no regrets!

Indian Destination Wedding by Wedding Planner Rimjhim Events & Weddings Dubai

Indian Destination Wedding in Hua Hin, Thailand

 Posted by Sonia.

We’ve had a busy week filled with lots of unique Indian weddings. We’re ending the week with the power production Sindhi-Punjabi wedding of Shradha and Kunal.

Shradha and Kunal’s destination wedding took them and their 250 guests to the exotic Sheraton Hua Hin in Thailand. With them they brought décor pieces from Dubai, designer fashion and make up specialists from India and the talented team behind Memories in Motion from Chicago to take all the bright, colorful and absolutely fun pictures that we are about to share !

From the photographer: “The hotel itself is beautiful, surrounded by lagoon water with several rooms having direct access to the lagoon pool. The food was the best part as the hotel does have an Indian chef, which is one of the key reasons why Shradha & Kunal choose Sheraton for their wedding over other resorts in Hua Hin. With every meal over the course of 4 days they would include different cuisines along with traditional Indian food.”

Back with a whole day of eye candy in just a bit!

Indian Weddings in Dubai | Pheras in the Palm Gardens

Indian Weddings

Dubai’s central location, easy access from all over and the variety of locations it offers have made it a hugely popular destination for Indian weddings. Park Hyatt is one of the most sought-after locations in Dubai and their clients include families who live in Dubai, and outsiders who host exotic Destination wedding there.

Park Hyatt Dubai offers a number of romantic outdoor venues like the Palm Garden and the Fountain Garden. The hotel’s location right by the Dubai creek and its breathtaking environment, make it the ideal venue for exclusive and personalised wedding events. Through the gates and palm-lined streets leading to Park Hyatt Dubai, guests discover a secluded retreat inspired by the magnificent Moorish palaces of old. Within, the hotel’s exquisitely landscaped gardens and flower-draped courtyards provide the perfect setting for intimate weddings. For larger receptions of up to five hundred, there is the majestic and spacious Creek Ballroom.

According to Waike Papke, Director of Sales & Marketing, Park Hyatt Dubai has paid a special focus on food with emphasis on North Indian cuisine and live cooking stations. “Banquet Chef Nisar Ahmed from Delhi and his team of chefs from all over India are able to cater to the most discerning tastes. Most of our clients like traditional decor with Marigold flowers. If the weather permits they prefer to hold the pheras in our beautifully decorated Palm or Fountain Gardens.”

Adds Rimjhim Bhagchandani, a Dubai-based Wedding Planner: “Dubai is a great destination for Indian weddings. There is a wide choice of venues- small ballrooms for 50 to those with 4000 plus capacity. It is very easy to organise a wedding in Dubai. There are so many options of vendors to suit all budgets—be they florists or AV suppliers. The world’s best decor fabric is available here, and a variety of flowers are available all year round. Hyatt is one of the best hotels, and most of the other hotels are also very co-operative. Thanks to efficient systems in Dubai, even if you don’t know a soul here, you could still pull off a huge wedding all by yourself!”
